A world where they can actively and equally participate in decision-making processes that determine their lives, their society and their future.

Hivos' network embraces 31 countries and over 750 partner organisations. In the course of 2005 Hivos disbursed more than 76 million Euro as grants or loans. These funds were provided by the Dutch government, the EU, donors and savers, and private institutions.

Mahiti is a Bangalore based organisation that aims to reduce the cost and complexity of Information Technology for the voluntary sector through the strategic use of Free and Open Source Software. Over the last 6 years, Mahiti has served over 100 voluntary organisations by building multi-platform and multi-lingual web / Intranet / kiosk / multimedia applications. Mahiti conducts trainings and workshops in partnership with donor agencies and multilaterals. They also design and execute projects in the areas of resource mobilisation, collaboration, documentation, advocacy, e-governance and rural ICT.

 

NGO-In-A-Box is an initiative of Tactical Technology Collective and it's South Asian hub is funded by Hivos.

Through building links between them, Tactical Tech aims to help establish an accessible baseline of Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) needed by all civil society organisations and their integration beyond rudimentary usage into an integrated strategic tool for planning, advocacy & campaigning.

PyCon India 2010

PyCon India 2010 is the primary Python conference in India. A purely volunteer effort, it is being hosted for the second time in India, and will attract some of the best Python developers in India and abroad.
