Shilpa Rao is a Project Associate, Coordination and management of organisational activities, including funder interfaces, program management, project deliverables, and internal administration. The Mahiti Manthana the field project, is a technology project in the villages of Mysore district in Karnataka. We have used ICTs for the empowerment capabilities of dalit women in villages.

ITfC (IT for Change) is a non-profit organisation located in India. ITfC envisions a society capable of, and comfortable with, innovative and effective use of information and communication technologies (ICT) as a tool, to further goals of progressive social change. We perceive our role as an intermediary to engage in debates on ICT for development and re-interpret the social and political narratives that are often sidelined, or are altogether missing. We also go further, into the field, to demonstrate innovative ICT possibilities in actual developmental situations.
