John is the Training and documentation officer at Positive People. His
primary responsibility is to conduct sexual health programmes for
students in educational institutions and training of trainers programmes
for teachers (on adolescent and sexual health), and women (sexual and
reproductive health, sexuality, gender and rights). He is also
responsible for organisational and IEC material designing. Apart from
this, John works on care & support initiatives for people living with
HIV (PLHIV). He is developing a community resource network of trained
caregivers for PLHIV and coordinating targeted interventions for sex
workers, intravenous drug users, migrant workers and truck drivers.


Established in 1992, Positive People is the largest and oldest HIV/
Sexual Health social service organisation in Goa. It is involved in
research, education and the promotion of self care and enhancement of
the quality of health of HIV affected persons.
